Screening and production of bacterial amylase from different Strepomyces species

نویسندگان

چکیده

The enzymes from the microbial sources are more stable and can be obtained cheap sources. Amylase is most important industrial enzyme which widely used in food biofuel industries. Streptomyces a group of bacteria belongs to largest genus Actinobacteria commonly isolated soil. species have been as cell industries for production antibiotics. For antibiotics, frequently cells. This study reported that screening amylase different i.e. microflavus, cyaneus diastaticus. cultures were screened by starch agar plate assay. Result shown diastaticus was better producer compare microflavus cyaneus. gives maximum hydrolysis showing clear zone (4.4 mm), (1.60 U/ml) protein concentration (2.25 mg/ml).

Production of a thermostable extracellular amylase from thermophilic Bacillus species

Isolation and identification of thermophilic Bacillus sp was carried out from a soil sample. The cells were cultivated in a medium containing soluble starch as sole carbon source. The addition of calcium (10 mM) or peptone (1%) and yeast extract (0.5%) to the medium shortened the lag period and improved the growth and amylase synthesis. The optimum temperature for amylase production was detecte...

PRODUCTION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES TO CLOSTRIDIUM PERFRINGENS ENTEROTOXIN DERIVED FROM DIFFERENT ANIMAL SPECIES

The enterotoxins (ETs) of Clostridium perfringens isolated from enterotoxemic or diarrheic alpacas, pigs, calves, dogs, and horses were obtained from sporulated cell extracts. The ETs from alpaca, pig, and calf isolates were chromatographed on Sephadex G-lOO. Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against ETs derived from alpaca, pig, and calf C. perfringens isolates were produced. The MAbs were used...

Screening of Different Extracts from Artemisia Species for Their Potential Antimalarial Activity

The formation of hemozoin (malaria pigment) has been proposed as an ideal drug target for antimalarial screening programs. In this study, we used an improved, cost-effective and high-throughput spectrophotometric assay to screen plant extracts for finding novel antimalarial plant sources. Fifteen extracts with different polarity from three Iranian Artemisia species, A. ciniformis, A. biennis an...
